Hanukkah Cookies

To celebrate Hanukkah this year, I treated myself to some new cookie cutters and stencils. I was inspired by some cookies made by Callye of The Sweet Adventures of Sugarbelle. You should check out her cookie blog; it’s absolutely fabulous! Here is my attempt at Jewish Holiday Cookies.

Chanukah Menorah Cookies

These are Chanukah Menorahs. This is a retro style menorah. Officially the menorah needs to have 4 candles on each side with one in the center. I like the look of this one though.

Chanukah Menorahs

Here are little menorahs all lined up. These are my favorite cookies of the whole collection. I just love how they look!

Chanukah Dreidel Cookies

I really wanted to make these cookies square instead of round but I couldn’t find my square cutters. After searching and searching I just decided that I never had any square cutters and settled for round instead. Of course I found the missing cutters later. I guess I know what my cookies will look like next year!

Dreidel Stencil Cookies

You can really see the glitter on these cookies. I airbrushed all the cookies in this collection with a pearl shimmer color because I wanted the cookies to have a holiday glow.

Chanukah Star Cookies

These cookies are really elegant and can be used for any occasion, not just for Chanukah.

Chanukah Star Stencil Cookies

These cookies are so simple, crisp and clean looking. I love how this color combination works together.

Happy Hanukkah!

Tiffany Blue Inspired Cookies

I was asked to make elegant cookies for an engagement cookies.  I chose to use white and “Tiffany Blue” to achieve that elegance.

Tiffany Blue Heart Cookies

The “Tiffany Blue” color is a trademark of Tiffany and Co.  I wish I could just buy this color in food coloring because it’s so gorgeous.  The formula is a well guarded secret, but I think I got pretty close.

Tiffany Blue Wedding Cake Cookies

I used the same colors to decorate these wedding cake cookies.  Both styles were first flooded with royal icing and allowed to dry overnight.  Once dry, they were iced with a thin coat of royal icing using a stencil.

Tiffany Blue Stencil Cookies

This stencil makes the cookies look so antique.  These cookies are a lot of work but are so pretty once they are done!  They are well worth the effort!

Mazel Tov Cookies

These cookies are a great gift for any occasion. Mazel Tov means congratulations and good luck. These were made for an engagement party.

Mazel Tov Cookies

I baked my classic sugar cookie recipe and iced them in white royal icing. Once the icing was completely dry, I stenciled on the wording and the rose decoration.

Round Mazel Tov Cookies

After finishing the stenciling, I thought something was missing so I airbrushed them with pearl shimmer color to give them a shimmer and shine. Mazel Tov!
